Shawn Taylor Photography - Food and Product Photography in Vancouver, Canada

About me: I love food and cooking. That started in my early teens. My love for photography came a few years later, when I happened to take an elective photography class while in College in Montreal. Before I knew it, I was hooked.

After cooking professionally for a number of years, and studying photography here in Vancouver (and a considerable amount of wandering the globe too), I was lucky enough to realize I could combine those two passions couldn’t be happier than to shoot food for a living.

I work out of a 1200 square foot daylight studio, located at 1460 Burrard Street, just steps from the seawall in downtown Vancouver. It’s equipped with a full kitchen, bathroom and changing area, and a private rooftop patio.

Giving Back: As well as donating time and photography to various local NPOs, I donate a portion of all photography fees to Kiva.org. Kiva is a person-to-person micro-lending organization, enabling micro-loans directly to entrepreneurs in poor and developing countries. Loans are repaid interest free and are re-loaned to other entrepreneurs in the Kiva network, in an ever growing pool of donated loans.
